Safe Moving

Safe moving costs depend on the weight of the safe, the access at both addresses, and the distance. Most residential gun safes run a few hundred dollars for a local move. Larger commercial safes and vaults quote higher because of the equipment and crew size required. Stairs always add to the price.

Yes. We use stair-climbing dollies rated for heavy loads, with at least three trained movers on the safe at all times. Spiral staircases, narrow stairwells, and steep basement steps all need pre-planning, but we have moved safes through every type.

Yes. Gun safes are one of our most common safe moves. We empty the safe before transport (you keep firearms during the move, by law and policy), then disconnect any anchor bolts, rig the safe, and transport it to the new location for reanchoring.

No. Our crews lay hardboard runners or plywood protection over the entire path before the safe moves. Tile, hardwood, laminate, and carpet all stay protected. We do not slide safes across bare floors under any circumstance.

Yes. Commercial safes, restaurant safes, and bank-style vaults all fall within our service range. These jobs require advance planning, often a dock or loading ramp at the destination, and crew sizes of four or more. We assess every commercial safe move on site before quoting.

For move-out or closing date storage, book two to four weeks ahead. For renovations or downsizing on a flexible schedule, we usually have same-week availability. Long term storage commitments are easier to lock in early to secure pricing.
